Our shared history began in primary school and then moved to high school. Speaking of "sacrifice" it must be mentioned that especially for Adam, in order to attend the same class, Ewa changed the previously chosen profile from biology-chemistry to mathematics-physics :) After the wedding, during our university studies, because we could not find our way in the realities of that time, we decided to leave Poland - and so began our next, this time foreign, adventure - as a married couple.
After three years in Germany, we moved to Canada. First, we lived in London (yes, Canada also has its own London, and also on the Thames River), where Adam studied engineering, and Ewa economics and anthropology. After another five years, we moved to Toronto and started working in the IT industry (in the meantime, Ewa had completed an intensive 9-month postgraduate program in applied technology / programming). Adam - at Celestica, former IBM, then at AMD, and Ewa - at Castek, later Oracle, then at DoubleClick-Epsilon. We continued to develop professionally in our fields: Adam became a specialist in materials science, completed a PhD, published articles, participated in conferences, including as a speaker. Ewa became an expert in quality control, first as a team leader, then a manager, and eventually a director responsible for several departments as well as projects and employees on four continents. In parallel, after hours, we both ran our own business, investing in real estate. To support our activities in this industry, Ewa completed appropriate courses, passed the required exams and obtained a realtor license.
In 2008, we decided to take another "bold" step. In September of that year, we packed our bags, settled permanently in Poland and began writing the next chapter of the saga: enrolling in postgraduate program, completing professional internships organized by the Warsaw Real Estate Association (WSPON) and opening a RE/MAX franchise. From the beginning, our office held the highest positions in the rankings, which you can read about here, and our agents regularly won awards and certificates for outstanding achievements. After a few years, we became regional directors and were responsible for the development of the network in ⅔ of the country. And so over 4 years had passed, during which we sold 26 franchise licenses and created from scratch, together with our regional staff, the foundations for the functioning of the network in Poland.
In 2018, we once again engaged in developing our own office, practically rebuilding it from scratch. Full-time work (if only!) for someone else, within a rigid corporate system, caused an inevitable erosion of our own company, especially as our agents gradually began to buy franchise licenses from us. Fast forward - from one active agent we relatively quickly reached the number of 20. In February of 2021, we decided to become really and fully independent, leave the network and start operating under our own brand, as Top Agents. All of our agents also decided to remain with us, including three franchise owners who ended their operations and - to our joy - joined (or rather returned to) our agency. Almost half of our agents have been with us for over 10 years. The longest-working agent has been working with us since January of 2010 and there are those who have joined us in the last 3-4 years. We would like to say Thank You to Everyone for their trust and co-creating a harmonious Top Team!
It wouldn't be OK if we didn't mention the very important Top Agent at our brokerage so we're quickly catching up. In July of 2015, Nika (or Nicola, Nikozja, Nikusiowa :) - a miniature dachshund, who is an inseparable part of our gang accompanying us every day - joined our team. Sometimes it's quiet when Nika sleeps, sometimes the office is full of indescribable joy (especially when a Top Agent or a client shows up willing to offer some petting) but sometimes some order must be brought to the office and some big, scary dog or courier chased away - and everybody can hear that :)
